Comprehensive Range of
Laboratory &
Diagnostic Tests
FHS provides a comprehensive range of laboratory and diagnostic tests, covering key areas including haematology, hormones, diabetes, thyroid, cardiac health, liver and kidney function, infectious diseases, reproductive health, vitamins, and more.
Our testing services support accurate diagnosis, preventive health screening, and ongoing health monitoring, with reliable results delivered through professional laboratory services.
ABO Blood Group & Rh Typing (Gel Method)
AED 80.00
Identifies the ABO blood group and Rh type using a gel-based method, supporting transfusion and pregnancy care. The result identifies a blood group rather than diagnosing a disease. It supports blood compatibility assessment, but any additional antibody screening or transfusion compatibility testing must be ordered separately.
Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (aPTT)
AED 100
Measures how long blood takes to clot through selected clotting pathways; used to investigate clotting problems and monitor some anticoagulants. This is a clotting-time measurement rather than a platelet count. An abnormal result needs assessment alongside bleeding history, medication use and other clotting tests; it does not identify a single cause by itself.
Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH)
AED 250
Measures ACTH, the pituitary hormone that stimulates cortisol production, to help assess adrenal and pituitary function. ACTH describes the pituitary signal to the adrenal glands rather than the amount of cortisol itself. The clinician interprets it with cortisol results, collection timing and the reason for investigating hormone function.
Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT/SGPT)
AED 40
Measures a liver enzyme that can rise with liver-cell injury. ALT indicates possible liver-cell injury, not the precise cause or the liver’s overall capacity to function. Interpretation normally considers other liver measurements, symptoms, medicines and changes over time.
Albumin
AED 40
Measures albumin, a major blood protein made by the liver, to help assess protein status and liver or kidney disorders. Albumin is one component of total blood protein, not a complete nutritional assessment. Its result is interpreted with related liver, kidney and protein measurements to distinguish possible explanations for an abnormal concentration.
Aldosterone
AED 200
Measures a hormone that regulates sodium, potassium and blood pressure; often interpreted with renin. Aldosterone is part of the body’s blood-pressure and electrolyte regulation system. Its result needs the relevant renin measurement and clinical context; the laboratory should provide the collection and preparation protocol.
