Comprehensive Range of

Laboratory &
Diagnostic Tests

FHS provides a comprehensive range of laboratory and diagnostic tests, covering key areas including haematology, hormones, diabetes, thyroid, cardiac health, liver and kidney function, infectious diseases, reproductive health, vitamins, and more.

Our testing services support accurate diagnosis, preventive health screening, and ongoing health monitoring, with reliable results delivered through professional laboratory services.

Calcium, Ionised

AED 120

Measures the free, biologically active portion of calcium rather than total calcium. Ionised calcium measures the active fraction rather than calcium attached to proteins. The two calcium tests answer related but different questions; specimen handling and the laboratory’s own reference interval are important for interpretation.

Calprotectin

AED 250

Measures calprotectin, a marker of inflammation; when tested in stool, it helps assess intestinal inflammation. Confirm specimen type. The specimen is not specified in the test name, so a stool-based interpretation must first be confirmed. An inflammation marker can support investigation but cannot by itself identify the underlying intestinal disease.

Chloride (Cl)

AED 40

Measures chloride, an electrolyte involved in fluid and acid-base balance. Chloride is assessed as part of the body’s electrolyte and fluid balance. The value is usually interpreted with other electrolytes and the clinical situation rather than as a diagnosis of a specific kidney or metabolic disorder.

Cholesterol, Total

AED 40

Measures total cholesterol as one part of assessing blood lipid levels and cardiovascular risk. Total cholesterol combines several cholesterol fractions and does not show their individual contributions. A lipid profile provides more detail; cardiovascular assessment also depends on the person’s wider risk factors, not one measurement alone.

Complete Blood Count (CBC)

AED 60

Measures red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and related blood indices to assess general blood health. The CBC includes cell counts and related measurements such as haemoglobin and red cell indices. It helps identify patterns requiring further investigation, including possible anaemia or infection, but does not alone establish their cause.

Cortisol, AM (8–9 AM)

AED 120

Measures cortisol in a morning sample to help assess adrenal function; interpretation depends on collection time. The catalogue specifies a morning collection because the timing is part of the test’s meaning. A morning concentration should be interpreted using the laboratory’s matching collection protocol and reference interval, not an evening comparison range.
